Anita Stansfield can be somewhat cheesy at times, but the "Barrington Family Saga" books were well researched and an interesting, compelling read.
I hesitate to use the term "historical romance". While it is that, it is more; a family story that provides things to think about. I thoroughly enjoyed all four books in the series.
