Book Description

9 and up4 and upBeacon Street Girls (Paperback Unnumbered)
Vote! Vote! Vote! Class elections at Abigail Adams Junior High are underway, and the Beacon Street Girls are in the middle of it all! As the drama escalates, election posters begin to disappear. Katani is really worried. Could someone very close to her be responsible? "And why," asks Charlotte, "is everyone so competitive?" That's not all. Mr. Popular, Dillon Johnson, is running too, and he's making big promises. Can he keep them? Henry Yurt, aka the Yurtmeister, has plastered smiley face posters all over the school that are too silly for words, or ... maybe not. Will the candidate with the best ideas win the election, or will big promises take the day!

About the Author

The Beacon Street Girls books are inspired by all the preteen girls I've ever known. I wanted to create a world where girls can go to have fun and learn about who they are, while modeling real-life experiences. The first book, Worst Enemies/Best Friends, explores creating and testing friendships, skewed first impressions, and being the new kid at school. In the end, true friendship conquers all. Welcome to the world of the BSG! --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beacon Street Girls, October 12, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

As I recall this story is about two club members
who are both running for class president. Someone
tries to ruin the whole election. BSG Katani and Avery
are in a race to win and almost become enemies. There are
others running too. Rivalry can cause problems, but in the
end the girls learn a lesson. Enjoyable.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best BSG books!, September 12, 2005
This review is from: Promises, Promises (Beacon Street Girls #5) (Beacon Street Girls (Paperback Unnumbered)) (Paperback)
I love all the BSG books. I read this one in 2 days. I liked this and Out of Boumds the best. Lake Rescue should be good. Anyway, the book is about the class elections. It is very intreaging! It was intense. I couln't wait to see who would win or who was the person taking posters down. It's easiest to read the books in order, that's how I did it, but if you don't, they fill you in. I think the book has excellent writing and content. The BSG books are my all-time faves. I can't wait one more day until the 6th book comes out. Also, this is a great value!

3.0 out of 5 stars not bad, September 4, 2011
A Kid's Review
This book definetly shows how tight the Beacon Street Girls really are. Katani and Avery fighthing throughtout the book gave it some action. I feel Isabel definetly was stuck in the middle. I like the 3rd and 4h BSG better but i still liked this one.
