Promises, Promises is a story of three people, unhappy in their current relationships and how they manage to get through each day. Maggie is a woman whose husband, to me is a real jerk with a mother from hell, Ella is an interior designer who is doing some interior painting work for Ethan and his wife, I love how as the story goes on each person evolves and how Maggie, Ella and Ethan's lives intertwine with each other. I especially liked the character of Maggie and how she finally stands up for herself and how everything that goes around, comes around for some of the other characters in the book and they get what they deserve. I found this book to be a very enjoyable read with a happy ever after ending. I have found another author whose works I want to read more of.Promises, Promises

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A very easy read, I found myself sneaking out into a sunny corner to read more often than I should. I look forward to reading more by this writer.

Promises kept! I downloaded this book after being enthralled by a free copy of "Queen of New Beginnings," and I was not disappointed. Erica James has a knack of interesting you in a character immediately. I became instantly attached to Maggie, Ella and Ethan, almost holding my breath until their fates were revealed at the end. It is quite frustrating that more of EJ's novels are not available in e versions. As a marketing professor I can only applaud the genius of allowing the free download of one novel of such an engrossing writer - although it seems foolish not to have all her titles available. I would surely have bought another!
