Travis Stallion cousin to the billionaire brothers Matthew, Mark, Luke and John Stallion comes home on a 30 day leave for a some r & r from his military tour delivers a letter to Tierra Brady from her fiance. It is a dear john letter but he doesn't know that. He feels an instant attraction to her but knows that she is engaged because her fiance is under his command. Tierra takes out her anger on Travis but he supports her and helps her cancel all her wedding arrangements. He becomes her friend and confidante and she finally realizes that her ex calling off the wedding is the best thing that could happen to her. Great story and you will love her grandmother. She is a pistol.

I really enjoy Promises to a Stallion make me want read more about the Stallion. I am so glad that Tierra found real love in Travis. Damien was nothing but a selfish dog.

4.0 out of 5 stars Jilted to love, October 14, 2010
This review is from: Promises to a Stallion (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I always wondered how you jump back when you're jilted at the alter. So this book was practical in that aspect. I loved Travis and wanted to just hug him. He courted and loved and I respect that. I love old fashion men who have pride and respect in their women and treat them accordingly. I get sick of the "billionaire" Stallion story line, as its so annoyingly unrealistic, but its a story and if she wants her readers to get caught up in the fantasy realm so be it. Entertaining read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Made a [somewhat] believer out of me., October 11, 2010

I liked this story. I thought it was very cute and realistic at the same time. Everything that happened I could see happening in real life. And for me, that's saying a lot because I don't believe in love at first sight. So go figure! Travis was CUTE. I loved his whole persona and Tea hit it on the nail when she said he was confident without being arrogant.
I loved her fight and her struggle to not fall. I also respected it because it made it seem real. I love it!
My only issue was the fact that I wanted to see Travis and Damien go head to head, in, at least a very heated argument. Aside from that, LOVE IT!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Read, August 2, 2010
This review is from: Promises to a Stallion (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book is wonderful! I have been trying to find an author who writes romance novels besides Brenda Jackson that I really like and I think I may have finally found one. My only gripe is I wish the characters were more developed and that the book was longer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Promise to a Stallion-One of the best Stallions yet!., July 20, 2010
This review is from: Promises to a Stallion (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Travis Stallion cousin to John, Mark, Luke, and Matthrew returns on leave for 30 days. He is asked by one of his privates to do a favor for him to deliver a letter to his fiance, unaware that it was a Dear John letter, he delivers it with a smile to Tierra.
Travis carries on where the other Stallion's left off, same attitude, same demeanor just like the rest. Lot's of laughs and good humor.
He hangs in there through all of Tierra's wo's and cries and encourages her that some things that happen are for good reasons.
He is also trying to convince her that he is all the man she will ever want, need or have to have. It takes some convincing but hey he's a Stallion man and he always gets his woman one way or the other. Great characters, supporting cast and Tierra's GrandMa is a woman to be recon with go grammy. A very good read my favorite Stallion yet.
But the question still remain's whats up with Vanessa? Luke still wants to know if she is stiill a lesbian??? And a bigger question still What's going on with Matthew?
I guess we all will have to wait and see, I hope not to long.
Over all a very good book once again from Ms Fletcher Mello's cudo's.

3.0 out of 5 stars An ok read, August 1, 2010
This review is from: Promises to a Stallion (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I read the other Stallion novels and I couldn't wait for this installment. It started off great with the introduction of Travis into the Stallion storyline, I anticipated it would be another enjoyable read involving the brothers and the new characters. This book was somewhat disappointing because the Stallion brothers were not really a part of the story except in the first few pages, after that they seem to be mentioned as an afterthought. The other disappointing aspect of the book was it appeared the author was rushed to wrap it up. Sometimes I wonder if this publisher instructs authors to complete the story in 250 pages or less. Travis and Tierras story really deserved more development. There was so much left out.
There's still one more Stallion brother, hopefully his story will be as exciting as his siblings.
