5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent! January 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This one publication is better than every other article I have read on promotion...EVERY other thing....I joined all the organizations and have researched lots of sites on writing children's lit and promotion in particular, but this book covered it better than all the others...plus I loved all the links. ... such an in-depth, yet easy to understand book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not Just for Beginners April 25, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I knew Katie Davis' book would be good. I've been listening to her podcast (Brain Burps About Books) lately, and the episodes are always chock-full of useful stuff. I've got lots of educational market books out plus three trade books out. I blog, Facebook, and do a lot of promotional stuff, including an online book launch, online teacher extension materials, etc. But Katie's book still offered me tons more ideas for things I want to check out. She makes the ideas that I'm a little nervous about feel much more do-able because she gives basic tips and encouragement and lots of links and examples (and a good dose of practicality and humor). I have a list of about a dozen tasks that I plan to do in the next month just based on my first read. And I know I'll be reading it again. Highly recommended for all kids'/ya writers, whether you have 1 book or 100.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent and Inspiring March 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Katie Davis has done a wonderful job of bringing together the various ways in which you can promote your book. I've already started to use them for my own work and, even though I've been in the game for years, I learned many new methods and many ways to improve my old methods. The book is easy to follow and told in a very approachable manner. All of the links are pure gold. I read the book on my iPad and was able to click over to various examples and then click right back to the next. Extremely helpful!
