5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Massages!!!
This Pillow is great for back, neck, and head massages. How it is made is a great design, It allows the person to breath freely. Its made of soft, supporting foam, that is quite comfortable. It applys some pressure to your forehead and cheeks, but that was expected, a minute or two into a message and you dont even notice the pillow is there anymore. Im not a...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but with some downsides
This pillow allows you to effectively sleep face down without having to tilt the head to the side. Many aspects of the design are ergonomic. One big advantage over similar pillows is that you can put your hands under the pillow or along the tapered head-end of it, which is good since keeping the arms along one's sides is not always comfortable even with this pillow...

This pillow allows you to effectively sleep face down without having to tilt the head to the side. Many aspects of the design are ergonomic. One big advantage over similar pillows is that you can put your hands under the pillow or along the tapered head-end of it, which is good since keeping the arms along one's sides is not always comfortable even with this pillow.

The pillow has some significant disadvantages:
1) Most significantly, much force is placed on the face, even with the forehead cutout. It is difficult to use this pillow for 8 continuous hours.
2) Due to the laminated coating, the face perspires making it uncomfortable.
3) 2) above is compounded by pillow being too large to fit a pillow case on.

I'm not sure how well the pillow would hold up to long-term 8 hours a night use.

I would highly recommend this pillow for short-term applications, such as massage therapy, but, given all of the above, esp. 1) I have reservations about this unique pillow being used for regular sleeping.

poor. why? HARD! i had my head on it for a very short time. maybe it took about 15 seconds for my cheek flesh to feel pain as the weight of my head pressed my cheeks against the hard ungiving edge. also it is PlAsTiC and there is no "breathing" maybe this is good for an athelet who is under 25 and is fit and is on the table for a brief time to get maintenance or tweeking and off he goes. he is already sweating and jaked up on endomorphines from exercise or sport. he could take a punch in the face and shake it off. but if you need a PT treatment that requires somone to put pressure on your back and that puts prssure on the back bone and the neck bone and then the face goes down some more into the "pillow" then it is uncomfortable to the point of pain. it is $85 down the toilet. like to return it if it is possible.

Very sturdy and comfortable. Allows you to breath easier since your head is elevated and it is open underneath to allow for air circulation or to scratch your nose if you need to.
