Whether by himself or co-writing with other National treasures such as Dan Penn, Spooner Oldham, and others, Donnie Fritts delivers stirring songs with real soul. "Rainbow Road" is my favorite for its expression of true devotion to music. The album both rocks and soothes, and I'm so happy when a current recording evokes that sound.
