I am currently enrolled in an intro level German class at Oklahoma State University. I found this program at the student library and checked it out. I am thoroughly impressed. This course really helps with pronunciation problems and teaches you how to position your tongue and mouth in the proper way. I've listened to the whole course and am planing on buying it soon. I think it would be an excellent tool to use when your German becomes rusty or you just want to practice to perfection. I highly recommend this program to help with your speaking abilities, although it isn't designed to help with vocab, grammar, etc. So far Amazon.com has been the least expensive place I've seen for this program and think that it is an excellent buy!

A German pronunciation tutor that really works for everyone. Throw away all the written tutorials that try to teach you the correct sounds of the German vowels, umlauts, and consonants. The key problem with written instructions are that they are interpreted differently by each reader, and if this reader has no trained instructor or native German speaker to correct his/her articulation, he/she never learns the sounds correctly, and hence never gets rid of their heavy foreign accent. The 180 minutes on these two cassettes and the manual take you through all the German sounds, step by step, and let you practice your own pronunciation. Also included are several samples of complete German dialogue in the form of "cultural notes", which provide good practice in listening and understanding German speech.
