Some good, some bad
on September 27, 2014
I bought two of these for traveling outside the USA, the quadband capability if it works will be handy. So far I've had for about a month here in the US and it's worked ok. I've used primarily for WhatsApp and texting. The dual SIM cards are handy, I've used with Cricket & T-Moblile and no problems with service. It uses Mini SIMS as a note.
Plus side is this is a lot of technology for a low price and it does have front and back cameras.
On the negative side, the screen is not that good of resolution. The battery life it not that great. There are limited options for data size of the pictures you can take, lowest option is 1 MB then 1.5 and 2 MB with no more or less. I could not connect the USB to my computer, my computer could find the device but it says 2.0 USB not readable by 3.0 USB. If you use WhatsApp while recharging the phone it goes a little crazy, it jumps around your text history and highlights random stuff, selects pictures and generally acts crazy. The phones have no serial numbers, both of my phones have 123456ABC etc. as Serial Number. If you receive a phone call and have to unlock the phone you can't drag the ring to the bottom, I tried this multiple times and cursed like a sailor. You have to pull the unlock ring to the left or right to the accept or deny call circles in order to receive a call when the phone is off/locked. The instructions are a 2" piece of origami that basically tell you how to turn it on.
I bought the Gizmo Dorks Reversible Neoprene Sleeve Covers to go with these and they fit nice. Thanks to the other reviewer who recommended those.
So overall, some drawbacks but for a quadband unlocked phone and 7" tablet in one under $100 it is ok.
