proof there is a god was a most wonderful book to have read. as a florida fishing captain, dr. steve martin and jim trombly assured me that god does exist as i get to see his great and wonderful creations while fishing in my own backyard. this is a must read for the evening hours so by morning as the first rays of light reach in your window, you will have been prepared for his great existence. and then, have a great day, capt. ron wagner

After reading all of the information I could get my hands on about this book. I must say I was very disappointed once I purchased and read it.
The basis for the book is on the shroud, which is where most of the book concentrates. Still under heavy scrupulation, nothing really proven yet.
Again, very disappointed. Was looking for cold hard facts.

I enjoyed the book very much, it is on a level everyone will understand. I hope all the teenagers will read this book, and learn that there is really is a GOD.

An excellent, well written book. The Shroud of Turin research is fascinating. The guided approach to bring someone to God is also well done.

"PROOF: There Is A God!" is a book I read and couldn't put it down until the end, I enjoyed it that much. It's research was put togeather very well. It even tells you how to come to the saving grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ in easy to understand language.

Well I have to agree with seawasp. The only thing I'm seeking is Susan which I bought from Amazon four months ago (recommend it! See my review there). Not cod.

Having read "Proof, There is a Cod" by Steve Martin (?!) and Jim Trombly some weeks ago, I found myself reaching for the salt cellar to take an extremely large pinch...
Authors should try to distance themselves when attempting to prove something otherwise they can't see what others find hard to understand. These two guys are deeper into their faith than a pogo-stick jumper in an irish peat bog.

You can see how tolerant they are of other faiths and beliefs by the fanatical response to negative criticism.

The other problem with the book I found was not enough pictures, and far too many long words.

I would like to answer Marilynn Stocking's remarks about this book. There are six chapters in the book and only one chapter is devoted to the Shroud of Turin. So it is not where "the book concentrates".

As far as "cold hard facts" The book gets into many other "proofs" of the existence of God, if all the facts in this book where to be presented to a jury in there full scientific jargon I would expect the jury would have to find in favor that there is a God.

God has said that the only way to Him is through faith not through "cold hard facts". It is for that reason this book was written to give the reader enough information on His existence so they might seek Him and find Him. "For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it." Rom. 8:24,25

Marilynn is seeking or she wouldn't have bought this book, if she continues her search she will find. Jesus said: "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Matt. 7:7,8
