Got one of these from my father in law after trying 2 channel style. This helicopter is way easier to control right out of the box. It even comes with an extra set of blades. Some other brands dont for more money. With my nieces and nephew this thing has been through alot. Barely now the blades are showing wear. It said for indoor use but we didnt listen. Dont recomend outside any little breeze interfers. Since you go higher up outside it crashes harder. Thats what cracked the blades and broke the light that sticks out the bottom front. I lost some control compared to when they were new. It's still not worth putting on the second set of extra blades. It's still going

Length: 0:19 Mins
I received this mini coaxial 2 channel RC helicopter as a gift and have had it for about a year. I don't fly it too much because I find it too hard to control.

Advantages:
Coaxial design means it has more stability than a single rotor.
Has a three color flashing LED search light on the front.
Charges in 15-30 minutes
Flight time is around 5-7 minutes

Disadvantages:
Wobbles around a bit. (see video)
Very hard to trim for a straight flight.
Taking off usually results in an immediate crash as the helicopter tips one direction into the ground.
Paint chips easily.

Tips:
When you push up the throttle, the helicopter will spin. To correct this you will need to compensate on the yaw (x-axis) stick depending on where you want to go, and how much throttle you are using. The controls are not immediate, and so you will need to react BEFORE you finish the maneuver you want. With some practice, you can pilot the craft.

I chose this after seeing a couple of them being flown around in the office (yes, I work at an Internet company). The blades are hinged so they give way as soon as they hit anything. There is no tail rotor to break. Seems like 6 to 8 minutes flying time and you can fly with a surprising degree of precision.

Helicopter is very stable and durable for the price. I have a blast every time I fly it. It even comes with spare blades just in case. It's easy to learn and the integrated battery charger is great.

My just-turned 5 yr old received one for Christmas. I was skeptical. Other micro helicopters never worked "as seen on TV". However, I was shocked to find that my son had mastered this helicopter in only a couple of hours. Unlike other models that have a tail rotor, the counter-rotating blades make this unit very stable and easy to control. It is also very durable. Given my young pilot, this unit experienced many colisions with the ceiling and just about everything else around the house. After 3 months of heavy use, the only sign of these "aviation disasters" is some missing paint on the nose. And, we're still on the first set of blades. It's amazing what has been designed into such a small package. The only down side, which is the case with all of the micro helicopters, is the battery life. We get about 8 minutes of continuous flight before having a 20 minute recharge. With heavy use, you'll go through several AA batteries which power the control unit (and charge the helicopter). This is great fun. Highly recommended.

Got on of these today from the local Rite Aid.initial reaction regarding the construction is that it is better than the air hogs. nice controller too, very sturdy controls. I expected no where near this quality. Charged quickly and was flying in no time. It come with extra blades, a screwdriver, and other items for blade replacement. With a two channel heli it is an adjustment to fly but once you get the hang of reducing throttle and using the steering to fly you can really manuver it well. very stabil in the air and more than enough power to fly at half throttle for almost ten minutes. landing gear is sturdy and pinpoint landings are no problem at all.
I plan on getting more of these as they are a blast for indoor flights when you don't want to break out the big heli's and fly outside.

Love the copter, but it isn't durable. First crash broke off the bottom left rear landing gear (if that's even possible, it's so small.) This resulted in a copter that can't land/takeoff on its own because it's not level. Had to be hand launched after that point. Second crash sheared of half the top rotor assembly (blade included)-- can't be fixed since it's the actual part the replacement blades screw into (no spare part for that included with spare rotors). Total flight time-- less than 5 minutes before the copter was totally wrecked. (these were merely crashes into our apartment wall) Fun to fly-- but a big zero on crash survivability. If it can't take a normal crash (and it will crash as one learns to fly it) -- what good is it? Wasted money.

Gave this as a Christmas present for my son. What a great value. Once you learn the controls and properly trim the Helicopter it is a breeze to fly. I have owned several minicopters of different brands. This one by far has superior control and ease of use. Its very durable, I've crashed into walls, dogs, every member of my family and even survived a run in with the ceiling fan! Still flying like it was new. The radio takes 6 AA battery's. Battery life is good, about 10 minutes of flying. Maybe 20 charges per set of 6 AA's. But I must stress, use the trim feature of the radio to maximize stability and control!

Best minihelicopter I have owned.
