Incredible flexibility, November 7, 2010

While there may be other great piano samples out there and there definitely are - possibly more interesting than these - what is amazing about the way Propellerhead implemented this is the flexibility and tone shaping possibilities. They including several mic positions for each sample - ALL of which can be raised or lowered which dramatically effects the tone in a very real world studio way. If you have experience recording, you will know what I am talking about. Mic position has a huge effect on sound. I don't know of any other sample library that does that as effectively and intuitively as this one. The pianos overall are nice though most are too shiny and bright for my taste. Pulling back on the close mics helps that. It also obviously is meant for use with Reason and Record which makes it the "go to" piano library if you use those programs.
