this is an excellent introduction to horace silver's early material. this compilation gathers material from '52 through '55. 78 minutes of excellent piano. some of the other artists playing on these 19 tracks are: art blakey, kenny dorham, hank mobley and others. nicely packaged with informative booklet. this is a great introduction at a fairly reasonable price.
