Excellent science curriculum!
God's Design for Chemistry: Properties of Atoms & Molecules is yet another wonderful book in the Answers in Genesis Science Curriculum. We use the book with our 8-year-old daughter, and the lessons are just the right length and amount of information for her age. Almost every lesson has a simple hands-on experiment, using ordinary household supplies. I like the one-page...

The 2nd edition was better...
This version is fine, however if you are able to acquire the 2nd edition instead I would recommend it. The 2nd edition included the activities/labs within the book. The 3rd ed moves most of these projects to another book you must purchase.

God's Design for Chemistry: Properties of Atoms & Molecules is yet another wonderful book in the Answers in Genesis Science Curriculum. We use the book with our 8-year-old daughter, and the lessons are just the right length and amount of information for her age. Almost every lesson has a simple hands-on experiment, using ordinary household supplies. I like the one-page review quiz at the end of each 5-6 lesson section. The text is well-written, from a biblical worldview, and even my 4-year-old son likes to listen in and "do" the experiments sometimes. The appendices include quiz answers, additional resources guide, plus field trip ideas and a master supply list for the experiments. This book is the second in the God's Design for Chemistry series, and is to be be taught after Properties of Matter.
