I HAVE TO AGREE THAT THE LITERARY ABILITY OF THE AUTHOR IS NOT THE BEST; BUT, THE FACTS OF THE BOOK ARE PRETTY ACURATE. CONSIDERING THAT ONE OF THE VICTIMS WAS MY SISTER, I FEEL I CAN SPEAK AS TO THE ACCURACY OF THE FACTS. CYNTHIA COFFMAN MAY FEEL THAT SHE WAS MISREPRESENTED BUT, AT LEAST HER VOICE CAN BE HEARD...SHE SILENCED MY SISTER WITH THE HELP OF HER ACCOMPLICE, JAMES MARLOW. MR. LASSETER DOES A VERY GOOD JOB DEPICTING THE PAIN AND SUFFERING THAT THE VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES WENT THROUGH AS WELL AS DEPICTING THE EVIL THAT CYNTHIA LYNN COFFMAN AND JAMES MARLOW ARE. ITS A PRETTY GOOD BOOK, I THINK.

Typical a lasseter book. Meaning he always writes with passion, and has an eye for details,backgrounds of victims and murderers. It has lots of pictures. It shows you how Marlow and Coffman where raised how they met,and how they spent their honeymoon (with 2 savage killings) You will hear about the victims and their family. Lassiter wrote this book 1 to commemorate the victims Corinna Novis,and Lynel Murray and 2 because he wanted to examine the lives of the couple that killed them, in the hope that he would get an answer why they did what they did. Did he understand? Is it understandable? well not for me.But definitely a great book.

Cynthia Coffman sits on California's death row bitter and full of anger still. I was a paralegal working on her case and when she found out I read this book she became enraged and had me removed from the case by complaining to the lawyers, the judge, everyone. She does not want anyone to read this book. Her reaction only makes me believe this is a pretty accurate account of what took place between her and Folsom Wolf in their murderous spree. It is well written, well researched and a good true crime book. Recommended reading.
