I bought these to use as waterproof boots for on the motorbike and thought i should wear them for a few days to break them in before putting them in the closet only to be brought out on wet days.

Well, I've had them for a few weeks now and they haven't gone in the closet yet.

These boots are super light, very comfortable, and exceptionally warm (it's down to -2 Celsius here in New Zealand at the moment). The boots go on at 8am and they don't come off till 10pm. I feel I could wear them around the clock without any worries.

The only complaint I would have is the insole could have a bit more arch support for my high arches but that's nothing that can't be sorted easily.

If they come up on sale again I'll be buying several pairs and storing them till needed.

UPDATE: Had these boots for over a year now and still loving them. Comfortable, warm, and still waterproof. Recently wore them day and night for two weeks on a motorcycle trip and often forgot they were on my feet. Rode both on and off road and boots performed exceptionally well. Hopefully they're still available when this pair wears out.

UPDATE April 2013: Had these almost 3 years now and apart from the sole showing signs of wear they are still going strong and even more comfortable. They're nearly double the price I paid in 2010. So, happy they're lasting so well.

I've owned a pair for a year now, and they are fantastic boots. I have very wide long feet (14 5E), and not only are these really comfy but I could easily have gotten a 4E if I didn't wear them with huge thick socks! Good solid construction - I went hiking thru the mountains around Puerto Vallarta with no problems.

    Pros:
Zippers for easy on/off once you get the laces to the perfect tightness.
Very breathable, my feet don't feel like I'm wading in my own sweat!
    Extremely comfortable insole.
Nice flexible uppers - some uppers only bend in certain places, making creases that press down on my foot. Not these bad boys!

    Cons:
VERY slippery on smooth/wet surfaces; if not for this I would give it five stars.
Easy to catch zipper on waterproofing material under zip.

Bad as in GREAT!! Zipper is great for easy on/easy off but laces work great to get a nice tight fit. Soles are great on any surface even broken up NYC streets. Used them all winter so far in NYC and they keep my feet warm and dry. Walk a mile each way to work and these boots give great support. I do recommend throwing in a pair of cushion soles for extra comfort. Already bought an extra pair for next year.

These boots were a gift. My friend works in a correctional facility and has a 5E foot. Boots for men with very wide feet can cost more than double the price of these boots. Last year, for Christmas, I took a chance an purchased a pair for him. They are still serviceable today. However, it's been a year and is time for a new pair. For anyone who pounds concrete 8-12 hours a day, you know the value of good shoes. So, here I am again, purchasing a second pair.

Are they $300 boots? Nope. Are they as slip-resistant as $300 boots? Nope. But they have stood up to the various mishaps that occur in a correctional setting, from flooded tiers to overflowing toilets. I'll leave out the juicier details and leave them to the imagination.

My friend has been very happy with these boots. They fit. They are comfortable. They've conquered the concrete. If you are a guy with very wide feet and a limited budget, you can't go wrong with these boots.

These boots are incredibly light. The sole is soft & comfortable - almost like an athletic shoe. Great for walking.

200 grams of Thinsulate is not a lot of insulation, so in single-digit temperatures this year my feet got a little chilled when sitting for periods of time. But they aren't advertised as extreme cold weather wear gear - and having only slightly cold feet at those temperatures is actually pretty good.

I especially like the side zipper. Makes it very easy to get these boots on & off.

The leather is a little thin, and the other materials don't seem to be of top quality, so these boots don't give the impression of being very rugged. I'm not sure how long these boots will last. But the price is reasonable, so even if they need to be replaced after a couple of years, they will have provided decent value.

As a large man with large feet, I was excited to see a somewhat stylish winter boot available in my sizing for such a reasonable price. I typically wear a size 12 4E width Red Wing boot and New Balance shoe. I am not sure who does the sizing for Propet, but they were seriously off on this pair of boots. These boots are very tight around the toes and when compared to my Red Wing work boots, are nearly 1/2" narrower. Style was nice and like the side zipper, however the sizing and upon closer inspection the excess glue left around the sole have left me very disappointed.

The fit is mostly as expected -- perhaps a bit snug, but I have the feeling that will be worked out as the boots are broken in. They are surprisingly light and have a cushioned interior. The zipper is quite handy, as the boots will only need to be laced every now and then as they are broken in. They confer a great deal of stability about the ankle region, bordering on too snug, but once again this will probably be mitigated by use. They do not confer much slip-resistance, which may be a concern to some. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.
