I did not write the following review, but I totally agree:
I have been a Deathlands fan for many years and own every edition. This one is the worst drivel I have ever read. It is disjointed and whom ever was involved in it's writing was under more influence than the nerve gas in the story. I hope that the next book goes back to the tried and true tradition of Deathlands Who actually wrote this??? Not James Axler!

I have been reading Deathlands for years and have never been more disappointed. I kept reading hoping that it would get better. Unfortunately it never did.

Prophecy (Deathlands)
I have been a fan of the Deathlands series for years. Most of these have been a good read. This one was poor. The first few pages were ok. Then the middle 2/3 of the book were rambling and hard to sit through. Last couple pages not bad. This is the worst Deatlands written. Mr. Axler can do much better.

In the Deathlands you must come to grips with reality I never got a grip on this one to many hallucinations. The best part was when it is over!

This was written by Andy Boot and like most of his Deathlands series books it is terrible. After the storm at the first of the book it's hot, then it's cold, then it's hot, then cold, all within the 2 pages. In Time Castaways, the book right before Prophecy, Doc get a new gun after 85 books with the old one, but in Prophecy there is no mention of his new gun. Mr. Boot ignores the concept that Deathlands is a series. He rarely refers to past books even the ones he wrote; the companions show up, think a lot, do a bit of fighting then leave. Mr. Boot seems unable to write dialog. He just goes on and on with the characters rambling thoughts all through his books. Why golden Eagle continues to let him write for the series is a mystery. If I remember correctly, Mr. Boot writes comic books for a living - sure wish he would go back to that genre and stay away from the Deathlands series. Don't waste your time and money with this book - it is Andy Boot's worst book.

Lame storyline...Too much weird visions and not enough group action...Read like a dumb Steven King novel hoping around all the time....Once again LAME
