Grace Halsell is such a bold author who explored into such waters that very few authors will dare to dive into. She talks about and has indeed exposed this big time secret Alliance between the State of Israel and the American Evangelical fundamentalist Movement with a population of over 70 million! - under the Leadership of fundamentalist Christians like Jerry Falwell and Bill Graham. This Alliance is determined to eradicate the Palestinian population from their Holy Land, and other Arabs in neighbouring countries (from the Nile to the Euphrates) in order for the Evangelists to prepare for the coming of the Messiah. They are determined to bring this about by any means necessary, including the use of nuclear weapons! The very reason that the book is out of print should be a reason enough to arouse the curiosity of any reader. Most likely you should be able to get it at your local library. It's one book that will open your eyes to what is going on in the world today.

Before I read this book there was a lot I didn't understand about Israel. I didn't understand why it is in America that the Israeli government is always above criticism. No matter what the Israel government does, nobody in America is allowed to say anything critical of them. Even as a child I noticed that News anchors always portrayed the Israeli side of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Palestinian children who threw rocks were "terrorists", while Israeli soldiers who shot children were "heroic patriots, protecting their country's right to exist".

And back in 2003 when Iraq was merely SUSPECTED of violating ONE United Nations resolution there was general agreement by the President of the United States, the Secretary of Defense and News Anchors and newspapers across the country that America HAD TO invade Iraq! But the fact that Israel is in violation of OVER 100 United Nations resolutions something we're not even willing to TALK ABOUT!

Iran is SUSPECTED by some people as MAYBE attempting to develop nuclear weapons and we had Vice President Dick Cheney and Senator John McCain claiming that we needed to bomb Iran IMMEDIATELY! We know FOR A FACT that Israel has a large stockpile of nuclear weapons, but nobody in the United States government wants to do ANYTHING about it!

This double standard has confused me for years. But now I understand.

Grace Halsell's book, "Prophesy and Politics" answered all of my questions. I now know why the mainstream media in America will only ever present one side in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. I now know why U.S. Senators and Presidents and other elected U.S. officials always represent the interests of Israel. I now know why the U.S. always votes the way Israel wants them to at the United Nations. I also know why rightwing Christians such as Ann Coulter and Pat Robertson are so militantly pro-Israel and why they treat Palestinians as if they're not even human.

I don't want to give away the ending, but pages 163-165 where Grace documents what happened to former House Representative Paul Findley and former Senator Chuck Percy is one of the most eye-opening parts of the book.

There's lots of useful and educational information throughout the entire book, but when you see how even the most mild criticism of Israel can almost instantly ruin a powerful man's career it becomes obvious why no U.S. newspaper, TV news anchor or U.S. Senator is willing to voice any criticism of Israel or any of Israel's policies.

One of the few persons who do not mind telling it LIKE IT IS. I commend G. Halsell for her excellent research on the subject. "The Truth Shall Set You Free."

An excellent book written about the truth in Palestine. A "must read" book by an American for American people. We shouldn't be too stupid to believe the media.

Just like her other books on this subject, Ms. Halsell, spews out one cleverly spun half-truth after another, only revealing her seething inner hatred for both Israel and the Christian right. This is fodder for fools only! Don't bother wasting your time or money on this woman's barrage of hate.
