Very Helpful Beginner's Prophecy Bible,
By Rachelle Ayala (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Prophecy Study Bible: King James Version (Hardcover)
I have many study Bibles and this one is the one I take to church and pull out for general reading and devotionals. It is dedicated to the readers of the "Left Behind" series and for people who have become interested in Bible prophecy for the first time. The notes inside tie the prophetic themes together, and there is a comprehensive table of prophecies concerning Jesus in the back. Interspersed within the books are articles done by the prominent pre-tribulation scholars about topics such as "Heaven", "The Battle of Armageddon", "The Messianic Hope", "Israel in Tribulation", "God's Plan of Salvation", "The Rapture", "The Church Age", just to name a few. Studying prophecy helps you see how the Bible is all tied together, and how one part relates to another. In addition, there are center column references that allow you to explain and compare one verse with several others. The color pictures and charts are a bonus. This Bible will be around to edify believers long after the "Left Behind" series has been left behind. Buy it even if you're not interested in "Left Behind" series.

Excellant Resource to Understand God's Word,
By A Customer
This review is from: Prophecy Study Bible: King James Version (Hardcover)
I have been using this Bible for only a week but it has been a blessing. This Bible is an encyclopedia for students who want to understand some of the most difficult passages in scripture, the Old Testament Prophets as well as the Revelation of Jesus Christ. The notes are totally from a Dispensational Pre-Trib point of view with no apologies. As a dispensational study Bible I would recommend this over the Scofield or Ryrie, though both of those are more general study Bibles. Of the other Prophecy Study Bibles on the market this is by far the best. The only other specialty study Bible that can compare is Henry Morris' Defenders Study Bible which is unfortantly out of print according to Amazon. Dr.LaHaye and his co-editors have done a splended job. The articles are by many writers but all are well written and open the eyes of the reader to the depths of scripture. And Dr.LaHaye's charts are always a great visual tool for use in classes and with children. May this great Bible stay in print a long time. Maranatha!

Prophesy explained,
By "theredknight003" (Raleigh, NC United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Prophecy Study Bible: King James Version (Hardcover)
Tim Lahay in his new bible shown here has done an exelent job in tackleing the difficult task of explaining prophesy in a way that anyone can understand. The back of the book features an extensive list of prophesies and how they were fullfilled or how they will be fulfilled. The book is also abounding in color graphs and timetables as well as black and white ones which help the reader to understand the timetable and order of the events of Prophesy. The notations are very complete and the concordance is very well organized and cited. I would recommend this book highly for anyone fasinated with Biblical prophesy.
