The person that rated them at one star should stick to gloria vanderbilt jeans.
I spent 6 years in the army, i know a thing or two about the bdu.

The stitching is well done, the blended fabric is durable, retains color better and is more wrinkle resistant than a pure cotton.

The Propper products are true to size. By that i mean the size you order would be the size uncle sam would issue you.

I've several pair of the domestic and imported bdu pants from propper and tru spec. The only real difference in material, workmanship and durability is the five dollars retail.

I have pairs of the imports that are 3 years old and show no sign of giving up the ghost. These are good comfortable durable pants.

The size is very accurate, and the blousing ties come out of two separate holes instead of the same hole, making unblousing a snap. A word of caution if you buy the black pants (or other dark colors) wash with similar colors the first couple of times. Like any BDU style pants, the color will bleed, but not fade. This was okay for me, because the rest of my uniforms are black as well. I have been using them for about 4 months now, and they are still like new. Worth the buy. I will be getting more.

Amazon really needs to split this item into five or more separate ones. Propper makes the same exact BDU's in multiple fabrics (3 ripstops and two twills). Each has it's advantages and disadvantages. Going by the listing, there's no way to tell what you're going to get. Seems like some get twill, some get ripstop. I was wanting ripstop (thin, breathable fabric). What I received was twill (thicker, warmer). I ended up keeping them since I was going to cut them off into shorts anyway.

The construction seems good. The fabric seems thin for twill, but I haven't worn twill BDU's in 10 years so my memory may be failing me.

Good Look, nice feel, did shrink a tad in the wash and I followed instructions, noticed shrinkage on second wash. Have been told they look better than my co-workers 511 and LAPD Gear.

Update: Came Back to order another pair and the price has doubled the Pants are not worth the extra money and since I wear and wash weekly the material is fading slightly but the seams are wearing out fast, and the material on the seat of the pants is fraying. I follow care instructions when I wash and I turn inside out. I have had these for 11 Weeks so that is about 11 wears and washes.

I had given it 5 stars but now I am at three, when I try my new brand if I find that these are superior I will update and adjust my rating accordingly...

"Exactly the right type. The 1st one I owned lasted over 10 years. This new one looks like it was cut from the same cloth. YES!!!" The consistency and quality took me by surprise. Arrived in 2 or 3 days.

These pants were great at first. They fit perfect, the felt nice. Propper is one of the only brands that sells this tiger stripe. I was outside and I squatted down and I actually ended up ripping the crotch in them. I feel though as it was a 1-500 chance of me ripping them like I did. I really liked the pants so I ordered some new ones. Usually I don't like to review items the same day I get them because I don't feel as if it is an adequate test of the items abilities. I might have just got a bad pair. But overall they feel good, fit good, and seem to breathe good. I just ripped mine.

Propper makes great products. The BDU pant is every bit as quality as you would expect from propper. The military uses propper for a reason, it's good. The colors are great, multicam is the single best camo available for multi terrain . The sizing of this item is exactly as the issued I purchase at clothing and sales on post. I prefer the BDU pants over the new ACU pattern because it has buttons on the cargo pockets apposed to velcro which wears out after extended use and is loud, the velcro also tends to lose it's sticky-ness and will open randomly on the ACU pants. Go bdu. However, be on the look out for the new ACU pants which have replaced the velcro for buttons. When these become available I will get them because I do enjoy the extra lower leg pocket that the ACU pants come with. BDU pants are a great value, they work and are sturdy. Until ACU's are available in multicam with buttons instead of velcro I will only buy BDU. It's a lot better than purchasing some of the more expensive Blackhawk, 511 pants.

nice pants, bright print. different coloration from non ripstop propper or other brands like rothco. in my opinion better coloration more distinct providing better camo. the others are more mono tone. definitely nicer than most.they boast all about america but are made in some sweat shop over seas.

I like these pants. I bought one pair of these and one pair of the TRU-SPEC Ploy, cotton, ripstop. Same size. Both are good pants. There are a few differences. The Propper's are tapered towards the ankle so there a tighter look to them. The TRU-SPEC's were baggier at the ankle. The Propper brand is also tighter in the seat and crotch area, not uncomfortanble but the TRU-SPEC are noticebly baggier there as well. The material on the TRU-SPEC's is a slightly softer but I wouldn't say the Propper's are rough. Because of TRU-SPECs bagginess and softness, I think the Proppers look crisper. Both have held up well for the last 2 months.

Additional note: It has been 4 months of wearing these both pairs interchangeably with regular washings. They both look to be in the same shape as before. I have noticed on both pairs the cuffs by the ankle have dragged on the ground at some point and have become scraped up and threaded. I do not use the ties on the cuffs and removed the ties early on. The scrapes seem more so on the TRU-SPECs and that would be expected since they are looser.

I came fast and well packaged. These are great pants. Very thick and sturdy. I use them for military work and they have held up to rigorous use for over a year. I would definitely recommend this item!
