I recently switched to double edged razor blade shaving and this is the cream i bought with my razor. This lathers up quick and has a very rich, highly lubricating lather. It has a very subtle smell that I have grown to really like. The cream contains eucalyptus oil and menthol which has an awesome cooling sensation to your face.

I would highly recommend this stuff.

Tip: If you have a Bath and Body Works in your area you can pick this stuff up there under the re branded name C. O. Bigelow Premium Shaving Cream. Exact same, different packaging.

I'm still on my first tube of this shaving cream but so far I really like it. A little bit goes a long way when used with a brush, so it looks like this tube will last a while. I was concerned that it might smell medicine-y since it says it has eucalyptus and menthol scents, but the fragrance is not at all like medicine. I like it. And the best part is that it leaves a cool refreshing feeling on your face when you wash it off. As for the quality of the shave, it seems to work very well and help me get close without too many cuts. I get a lot less nicks than with my last shaving cream. One note: if you order this online try to buy a couple at a time; The shipping is a little steep for just one.

It works great and has a very refreshing and cooling menthol effect on the skin. The lather I get is pretty good, but not great. I wonder if this is because of the cream or the person who brush up the lather (me).

For me, the day begins with a shave. I don't look forward to this..It's hard to pay attention when you've just gotten up and are still thinking about how warm the bed was. And, one thing I've learned is....you gotta pay attention to what you're doing with that razor when you are shaving. I discovered Proraso while searching for shaving cream on the web. What intrigued me at first was the fact that it is made in Florence. A lovely city that I have been privileged to visit. Secondly, I liked the fact that it is made with eucalyptus oil and menthol. Sounded like a good combination. I ordered it from Amazon.com. When it arrived I could hardly wait to try it out. And, it is great. I not only get a good shave, but I find shaving takes less time....it seems Proraso soaks into my beard and makes it so soft the razor just glides right through it. I love Proraso. I like that it is from Italy. I like Italy because I am Italian. I only have one suggestion....Can Proraso make a cream with Chianti?? Thanks for asking me my opinion.

This is a great product. Especially for the money. I was used to spending the big dollars for Art of Shaving, and while it's not lavender, and in fact, strongly eucalyptus and menthol, it gives it a nostalgic barbershop aroma that I really enjoy. I've found it, and I'll keep on using it.

I have used Proraso for a long time. I like the smell and menthol effect. Use with or without a brush, but best for me with brush. One way to make it last longer is to use about what you'd place on your toothbrush, then mix with a hard soap. Makes great lather with the right water/soap mix. Don't know how I'd shave without it, unless I get Bigelow (which is made by the same company).

You guys will lovethis product!! Best smoothest shave ever!!! A little does go a long way as well. It took me 3 months to go through one tube, so worth the 10 bucks!! Menthol smell is great as well.

Bought this based on reviews. Use a Panasonic ES 8259 wet/dry shaver that I never use dry - just don't like a dry electric shave. Read reviews on this and thought I would try it. First, it has the cleanest soapy scent, really like it. Second, a little goes a long way- seriously a couple of small dabs for the face and neck are all that is needed. Third, once the wet Panny hits it the lather generated is unbelievable. Fourthly, you can really feel the smoothness of the razor gliding over the skin. Fifth, $10 for a tube is a great price as a little goes a very long way. This product is just what a shave cream should be.

That said, I don't use it with the electric razor at the sink, only in the shower. The reason is going back to # 3 above, it makes a mess. The motion of the electric razor on the cream really creates a lot of lather. It is much easier for me to shave in the shower, fully utilizing the waterproof Panny with the shave cream that goes on thin but then whips up into a frothy layer. The water from the razor transforms the cream into a smooth almost medicinal texture. My skin feels great after the shave.

I do have to say that the cream is not heavy and does not clog the shave head. it is very light and a quick rinse under the shower head takes care of it.

To be honest with you using an electric is not what this product was intended, but it works so well. I should have known by reading some of the reviews that it works well with a brush to create the lather that the electric acts more like a kitchen mixer in whipping it up - but again, one could probably use even less at the sink.

I love this stuff - have bought both the CO Bigelow and Proraso tubes - they are both the same.

I've only used that Captain Conk? or whatever its named bay rum and also Walmart cheap shaving soap. I bought this and it has made a huge difference. For a little insight, I have a Parker 91r. I've been working my butt off for the past half week and haven't shaved. I had the beginning of a beard forming. I should have used a trimmer before shaving, but I just went at it. It was a breeze using this stuff. In my personal experience, made my skin number, more of a cooling feel which help my face feel better and seems to help numbed it, had alot more protection to my skin than either soaps I've tried, had a good smell, and will last forever. My only problem was that it dries out more quickly. On another note though, I did not expect so little to go so far. I put out what I would normally put out for my toothbrush when brushing my teeth.. wrong. About each pea size amount offers roughly one full cover on your face. I roughly had enough cream whipped up for 3 or 4 passes. It also produces very good lather. Leave it to the Italians for great quality products. As long as I have the money to afford $[...] tubes, I will purchase them. I imagine one tube will last me 1-2 months considering I usually do only one pass unless I'm trying to impress. :) I have only tried the 2 soaps and this. Besides that factor, I highly suggest this. Oh, and the only reason I didn't rate it 5 is because I believe not much is perfect.

I bought this along with a merker safety razor for my husband. And I have never felt his face so smooth! A little of this goes a long ways. It is a bit pricey, but well worth the money. He absolutely raves about this cream.
