Rather than a dull guide to the British Romantic Government (???--was there one?) this is a wonderful supplement to anyone studying English Romantic poetry, bringing the reader's attention to the prose of the period. The author presents the material in a clear fashion, providing enough commentary for elucidation, yet allowing the material to stand on its own. The reader will discover a common essence among the richly diverse selections.
