Bought this golf clubs set for my 10 years old son. On the second day, the driver head broke off the shaft. My son was completly disappointed....and so was I. very fragile stuff.

Same day received these clubs, my son was teeing off at the fourth hole and the driver head broke off the shaft. Seller replaced driver, but I went out and bought a better driver.

OK, I read all the reviews complaining about the quality of the Prosimmon Icon Junior Golf Clubs, but as the reviews also note, the price is extremely attractive. First, let me start with the positives...the clubs arrived quickly, and fit my 54" tall son perfectly. He loves the way they feel, and they have clearly gave him a new found confidence. The bag is also attractive and light enough to be carried for 9 hols by a 10-year old. Again, overall a tremendous value.
Now for the bad part, like other reviews have pointed out, the clubs are cheaply made. for my son, it was the putter that fell apart on literally the first round of golf he played. The head fell right off the shaft. No other problems with the set to report (and he's played 10 rounds with them already), but in my mind, that's a pretty significant drawback. now to close with the positive close to the story, and why i love buying from Amazon. I dropped an email to their customer service, and they immediately offered either free return shipping to get a new set, or a partial cash refund if I kept the set. I took the refund, as I didn't feel like dealing with packing the set up to return it, and went out and bought a high-quality epoxy with some of that money. The epoxy seems to have effectively fixed the club, and with the refund, the clubs wound up being even a better deal than is listed on the site. Again, this is why, for a product that I have any doubts on, I will always chose the Amazon purchase option over any other choice, even if it costs a few dollars more. Again, to close, good set of clubs, but be prepared for potential quality issues.
