Anna Rasini, a writer, has been living in her grandmother's home in Oxford, but now that her grandmother has died, she's at loose ends. Then she sees a painting in an art gallery that is remarkably similar to one owned by her grandmother. Suddenly, Anna feels a need to learn the painting's story. All she knows is the artist's initials, and that her grandfather, whom her grandmother refused to talk about, brought it home from Greece. Sally Stewart, born a Londoner but now happily settled with her husband amid the green hills of Somerset, has written numerous short and full-length stories. Many of them reflect her love of history, or were born of places visited in the course of foreign travels.
