I have been under antibiotics for about 2 1/2 months due to a bacterial infection in the Prostate which my PSA was at 4.5. The pain last about 4 months and suddenly went away. After a month, the pain came back and continued for several weeks ever worst everyday especially when I was sitting in my office all day and the driving back home was a killing. I research at [...] foundation several products that will help reduce prostate containing the same items as this product. I started doing research and found Prostate Essentials here at amazon. After a week dosis I started to feel better, pain was less noticeable and now after three weeks using the product the PSA number has dropped to 2.4. I am not taken anything besides this amazing product, multivitamins, diet salads, and no sodas. I highly recommend it to anybody suffering from Prostate imflamation to get rid of pain and reduce the Prostate. For the price this one beats other products 10 times. I guess I will continue taking it for the rest of my life as preventive maintenance. Hope my review will help anyone with this problem. Regards......MP

I have looked into many different prostate herbal/vitamin products, and in the end, I settled with this one because it has a well-rounded herbal/amino acid content.

1. 15 mg zinc. Zinc functions as an antioxidant and is involved in many critical biochemical reactions. It also helps to protect DNA from damage and assists in its repair. Zinc is especially important in the prostate and may protect it from early damage that could lead to cancer.

2. Saw Palmetto (160 mg). Saw Palmetto has phytosterols and fatty acids - from which it is hypothesized that the extract gains its effects on human health by perhaps shrinking an enlarged prostate, and improving urinary symptoms. Most studies state that saw palmetto needs to be taken for months for benefit. Also, some urologist warn that saw palmetto may lower a man's PSA reading artifically, thereby masking a potential cancer. (With this in mind, always tell your doctor/urologist all the medications and OTC products you are taking).

3. Stinging Nettles (120 mg). This is an anti-inflammatory herb. It has a calming effect on the prostate and bladder.

4. Korean Ginseng (50 mg) Supposedly gives men energy, both whole body, and sexual desire increases.

5. Pygeum (50 mg): Supposedly reduces the size of an enlarged prostate gland.

6. Pumpkin Seed Extract (40 mg): Blocks testosterones effect on the prostate, thereby helping to shrink an enlarged prostate, and some believe it has anti-prostate cancer properties.

7. Rounding out the list of ingredients are Glycine, L-Alanine, L-Glutamic Acid, and Beta-Sisosterol.

The bottle instructs the uses to take one tablet two times per day with water. There are 90 caplets, so one bottle will last 45 days.

I was very skeptical for this product and its claims. It actually works. I can truly say, it is an excellent product and does exactly what it says it does. I now sleep all night and do not have to go the bathroom until the morning.
