I recently purchased two Protec guitar straps in order to avoid having to switch straps between instruments. These straps are quite flexible length-wise, so if you have ever been disappointed by a strap that you either couldn't get short enough for a high playing position or long enough for a low playing position, you will not be disappointed here. These are also a nice medium width, so they should be suitable for all kinds of players. Although one reviewer complained about the size of the holes for the strap buttons, I actually find the snug fit to be an advantage: it doesn't feel like I'll have to worry about the strap coming disconnected from the guitar. And, the price is right.

Great strap for the new guitar that I bought my granddaughter. Adjusts easily. Take a close look at the picture. It has openings at each end. If you only have one peg at the bottom of your guitar you will need to get an attachment at a music store for it to work.

Pro Tec manufactures a variety of accessories for musical instruments. Their low cost black nylon guitar strap, is a well constructed high quality item, that is a top seller at Amazon. The large sized attachment tabs are quite thick, about 1/8 inch. Although the fit on the typical guitar strap nuts is snug, some type of strap retainer would still be recommended. Black works with most colors, and this strap should last for a long time, but it is so inexpensive, if you qualify for free shipping, you might want to consider ordering a spare.

well built product but not comfortable at all, especially if your guitar is not a feather weight. there are softer straps available

It was painful for me to use, as the strap itself is cheap material (leather ends only). Overall, it's a strap. It works. Period. However if you have slight back problems, don't even consider purchasing this item. If you have no back problems, BUY this for an affordable strap. It is good for the price. Simple. However, the guitar pick holder does NOT work. It's very loose and they don't hold in at all. Buy a guitar pick holder separate from this. Hope this helps!

Nylon is strong enough and doesn't chafe. But it does stink a little out of the package. Let it air out a few days in the sun! Warming it up also makes it easier to attach to guitar.

Even though I have been buying Guitars for 30 years my total time playing an actual guitar is barely 30 min. The Yamaha acoustic I bought on arriving at Columbia University for my MBA in NY in January 1989 remains a good decoration piece.

But I invested in an electric guitar and Rocksmith to use Xbox 360 to finally learn at least 3 notes. So, you know that my needs for a guitar strap are as high as my likelihood of actually standing in front of anything or anyone to perform on a guitar.... just 1 mm above Zero.

However, at this price, I figured why not get it with the Amazon prime order I was already placing. It arrived on time, and as always Amazon shipping is first rate. Nothing more to report. I pulled on the somewhat tough keyhole type openings onto the metal studs on the guitar... at least I assume that is what they are for ;-) ... and promptly placed the guitar back where it remains unused another 10 days.

I am still waiting for the gadget that will make extra hours in a day to learn to play Guitar, Piano, and many languages. But, this product is not for that, and it functions fine for what it is. Hope this helps you in your purchase decision. Like the review if it does. :-)

If you need a simple, normal-length strap, this should work fine. However, if you are tall and like to sling the guitar a bit on the low side, this is not what you need. I bought this but wound up ordering the Ernie Ball 4037 Black Polypro Strap instead. Very similar look and feel, but the Ernie Ball is MUCH longer. The lowest I could get this to hang was just above my waist. Again, not a bad strap, just not for us tall guys :)

Bought this strap for use with my Dean EVO electric. It's very nice and durable, though the leather on the ends was really tough to get around the strap holders on the guitar since the strap is really heavy-duty. It works great, though, and for the price it's wonderful.

I'm using this on my acoustic guitar with Planet Waves Acoustic Guitar Quick-Release System. It fits well and is functional but it doesn't look great. I would never use this with a really nice guitar since it would cheapen the entire look.

That said, this is a good strap for what it's intended to be: an inexpensive way to hold your guitar up. Just don't try to use this on a heavy solid body electric guitar since A) it would dig into your shoulder and B) I wouldn't trust that it's sturdy enough.
