This case looked great when we first got it, but within 2 weeks of use, the entire side unraveled. It's made of nylon, the same type as gym bags or cheap luggage, and looks like it wasn't sewn together very good. With a little regular use, the side got a small hole, and within days the whole thing was useless. Might be good if you have a spare mouthpiece that you want to protect in the tuba case, or in a drawer at home or something similar. As long as it isn't used everyday, it is the lowest priced option that I have found.

I've had experience with many Pro-Tec items, ranging from small ones like this mouthpiece case all the way to tuba gig bags, and all have been very high-quality. One of these made it through two seasons of drum corps (before I lost it), a testament to its durability of being used every day for months on end in less than ideal situations. You will be hard-pressed to find a better product for the price.
