It is sturdy and looks good.
Chili POP
One of the interior pockets seems made for credit cards and/or cash, so the sling bag also makes a nice "guy purse" when you don't want to carry a wallet.
Martin
This bag is great to carrying your iPad, and having your arms free.

Ok, so I feel like there just wasn't enough info or reviews on this bag to truly decide to buy it, so I took the chance to see what it was like. I figured if it was really cheap or something, I would send it back. Boy, was I impressed with what showed up at my door. I'll be keeping it, and here is why:

My first concern was in regards to the quality of the bag. From the pics provided by Amazon, I couldn't tell if the bag was made of vinyl or cheap leather, or some kind of nylon.

My second concern was the anti-theft features, which from Amazons pics, appeared to be absent.

Now, let me address those issues and a few others.

First, the quality of the bag is outstanding. I am currently using a Targus iPad bag made from ballistic nylon, and this Protec bag seems even more durable. The nylon feels as durable or more durable than the Targus, but is at least as thick. The stitching looks great, no loose threads and the seams seem strong. Understand that this is a first impressions review, but I have a Targus backpack that I consider the gold standard, and if you put a Targus label on this bag, I wouldn't know the difference. That should say a lot.

The strap itself is made from actual seat belt material, no joke. It looks like someone recycled it from a car. The strap fits snug and hugs your back and is well designed, and I love that the strap detaches like a seat belt; it makes it really easy to get on and off. The cell phone holder in front is an awesome idea, and it fits my Razer Maxx with Otter Box Commuter cover snugly. That's a big phone and case, so I think most other phones would fit. iPhones surely would, the S3 might not.

So the quality is great.

Most tablet bags are made for iPad-sized tablets (around 10.2in screens with 4:3 screen ratios), but this is a but larger and a bit taller. Because of this, it accommodates the longer 16:9 ratio form factor of the Surface/Surface Pro. It's a sling bag, but also has a carrying handle at the top if you don't want to sling it on. If it is slung over your shoulder, you can take it off quickly because the strap has a large, durable, quick-release buckle. You can't really stuff it with much because it's made to stay relatively flat/thin, but you can probably fit a wallet and the AC adapter without too much issue. The outer-most pocket has another couple zippered pockets inside it, as well as some pen pockets. The tablet pocket is pretty well padded. There is another pocket in the back, but it's not suited for anything that isn't flat. It's also got a zippered pocket in the strap that is made of a slightly stretchy material and is perfect for carrying a phone or using as a makeshift wallet. My iPhone5 fits easily with a case. It can probably hold a larger Galaxy SIII no problem.

The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the materials are questionable. The outside materials are fine, but I don't see that bag lasting long. The inside material is kinda cheap. The kind you see in cheap backpacks that tends to tear near the seams with too much pressure. Time will tell.

I use this bag to carry my Asus Slider and accessories. I love now slim this bag is. It has just enough room for my tablet, charger, a few cables, an external battery, chapstick, a couple pens, small scissors, and a pack of gum; and that's just the front pocket! I used some industrial strength sticky back velcro to help keep things in place and not bunch at the bottom. The middle pocket is felt lined for my tablet, the the third, "hidden" pocket is excellent for paperwork or other flat things you have with you. The cell phone/mp3/gps pocket in the front of the strap is a nice touch. Side story: I went to coachella this year (2013) and I actually used this bag as my day bag. I liked it because I was able to carry all of my essentials while not having too much bulk to still be able to dance in the crowd and not bump into people. The "hidden" pocket was perfect for smuggling in "stuff" and was virtually unseen and unchecked by security simply because they didn't see it! Haha :-)

Pros:
- Slim and form fitting.
- Sleek!
- Looks and feels expensive.
- Made of rugged material.
- Secure since it's so close to your body.
- Big enough to carry all of your essentials without bulk.
- Hidden pocket is amazingly useful
- Has pocket in the front of the strap for a cell phone/mp3 player/gps.
- Front pocket has organizer with zippered pocket and 3 slots for pens.
- Doesn't move around a lot while traveling. (I wore it the whole time at Coachella, even while rocking out in the Sahara Tent and it didn't move!)

Cons:
I can't think of any cons. This bag does everything it claims/is intended for without a lot of bells and whistles.

Would I recommend this bag to a friend?
YES! Absolutely! Friends, relatives, strangers...it doesn't matter. Great bag. PERIOD. Happy buying!

The Protec Zip Sling is an awesome bag!! It fits my iPad with a logitech keyboard cover, phone, and business cards and charger comfortably. I think it would even work for a small laptop like an iPad air.

I do a lot of trade shows so this saves me having to carry any kind of a shoulder bag or backpack around. It's low profile enough that you can wear a windbreaker over it which is great for bad weather, mass transit, and crowded locations.

The Zip Sling is well constructed and has taken almost everything I've thrown at it with the exception of slamming the buckle in a car door, which broke it. My fault, but Protec Customer service was so cool they sent me a replacement buckle free when I contacted them.

Well made, well functioning, convenient, and great customer service from Protec. What more could you ask for?
