This review is from: Protect Your Child from Sexual Abuse: A Parent's Guide (Paperback)
We have all heard about teaching children to say no when it comes to the topic of molestation. This small book provides parents with a a great deal more practical help in abuse prevention than most popular articles I have read on the subject.
Beginning with the facts and myths about sexual abuse, the author goes on to provide ideas and games to teach important abstract concepts such as personal space, the touch continuum of uncomfortable touches and using eye contact to be assertive. To prevent abuse, Hart-Rossi emphasizes building self esteem and a healthy body image, learning feeling words and expressing them, providing choices, teaching decision making and more.
There is also a companion book "It's MY Body" for children 2-5 years. It can also stand alone as a valuable conversation aid with children.
