4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting book on police ignorance/brutality & DUI facts, July 2, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Protect Yourself Against Cops in California and Other Strange Places: A Guide for Businessmen and Other Innocent Travelers, in 50 States and W (Hardcover)
While the specifics of state-to-state law are outdated (written 1982), this book follows Bailey's experience as an innocent driver arrested, jailed, and taken to trial for drunk driving. Explores ignorant and power-mad police behavior. Bailey was on trial for three weeks for what ultimately amounted to blowing a stop sign. Provides interesting tips for travelers who are wrongly accused of driving under the influence that are still helpful, regardless of some specifics being outdated
