These glasses are intended for use with UV light sources and greatly improve the contrast of items which luminesce when viewed with UV light, such as forensic or cleaning applications. I would not recommend them if you just want to protect your eyes from UV radiation in sunlight, because of the extreme yellow tint, but they work amazingly well for their intended purpose.

I wore them for a costume, not safety. Had them on for 2 nights straight and was never bothered by them. Great quality and very comfortable.

Looks like it's made from cheap plastic, but good price. It does what it needs to do protecting your eyes from UV lights.

Its easy enough to test just shine a UV light thru the glasses at an object which will exhibit fluorescence. I used my drivers license. These completely FAIL. Where my standard eyeglasses (with UV coating) completely block UV a flashlight these have no noticeable effect. ZERO protection is a total fail if the item is called "UV Protecting..." all you get here is yellow tinted plastic glasses. Shameful quality on for a 'safety' item particularly as it is recommended for use with UV lights. As UV light can cause injury I hope Amazon pulls this item.

If your going to use UV light it's always good to include eye protection and these glasses are confortable.

Bought this with my 395 nM 51 UV Ultraviolet LED flashlight Blacklight 3 AA, 7202UV395... Its a must to protect your eyes from UV rays while operating this torch.

I purchased these with a UV Flashlight to help detect cat pee. They work pretty well enhancing the detection of reflected UV. Unfortunately they seem to be mislabeled on Amazon. They don't block UV at the 99.9% level as the description seems to indicate. Instead, their main purpose is to enhance the pass through of UV light so as to enhance the detection of flouresence -- not shield your eyes from UV light (that would seem be the exact opposite purpose of why they were created!)

They are Protecting Glasses in the sense that they'll protect your eyes physically from sawdust or light object projectiles. Oh well, that's what reviews are for.

The Glasses give a wrap around to add in protecting against the UV light I use for inspections. They're weight is not noticable. They are an inexpensive pair of glasses though and are not adjustable, so if you head is big they may grip tight and be uncomfortable. Not bad for general use on the job, especially if you break or lose glasses like I do!

Good product which do reduce the strain on the eyes. I wouldn't use my ultravilet flashlight without these glasses.

For the price these glasses serve the purpose of identifying pet stains using a black light. Can also be used outside to protect eyes against UV light.
