USA Gear Protective Case for Barnes & Noble NOOK Color and NOOK eBook Reader - (WIFI + 3G - All Generations)

I bought this cover for my Barnes & Noble Nook to protect it against life's little accidents. I have been extremely pleased as this cover fits my Nook perfectly and provides quite a bit of protection against drops and spills.

I have traveled with the Nook and the cover provides just the right amount of protection, without taking up too much space. There is also a handy pocket in the front to store the charging cable.

There are some super expensive cases out there for the Kindle 2 and I was looking for something more cost effective that would protect my Kindle in case of drops and/or liquid spills. I throw my Kindle in my purse a lot and this was the perfect case.

The Kindle slides in easily and the top of the case fold over nicely creating a snug fit. I like the tight fit because it protects if I am running with it through the rain or if it gets other minimum water exposure.

Another great benefit is the zippered pocket up front. This pocket is big enough to fit the Kindle power adapter and some headphones. I've also used it for credit cards and my cell phone.

The only disappointing thing is that it doesn't protect very well against damage from dropping. I dropped my Kindle in the this case from a couple feet above the floor and the screen cracked a little in the corner.

Overall a great case, but doesn't provide very good protection when it is dropped.

I walk around with a messenger bag. In it I carry my 12" laptop in a neoprene sleeve, wireless mouse, AC adapter, a few magazines (from time to time), my Nintendo DS Lite, the DS's ac adapter and my cell phone. Recently I purchased a Nook, and the problem of how to carry it along with me reared its head. Although my bag and its compartments are well cushioned, the idea of leaving my Nook between magazines and my laptop just wouldn't fly and all the sleeves and covers sold by Barnes and Nobles were (as far as I was concerned)over priced. I came across the Neoprene CoverGuard and I loved the price and decided to take a shot. I haven't been disappointed since. It fits into my bag with no problems and all the other items in my bag have not caused my Nook any injuries. And, on those occasions that I leave my bag behind and just take my Nook, the CoverGuard has a strap on its back that I can use to carry it with a sure grip.

However, it is a neoprene case, so lets face facts: It WILL NOT protect your e-reader from serious accidental damage, it is meant to keep it safe from the occasional bumps and possible scuffs, scratches and scrapes. If you're like me (one of those people who insist on treating their electronic toys like fine china)then this will be the perfect inexpensive case for you.

I've been using this for about 3 months now. It provides some padding. So if you drop your nook from a small height, it'll probably provide enough protection to keep it from getting scratched or damaged. But if you are looking mainly for something that offers a lot of padding/protection, i wouldn't get this.

For my purposes though, it's good. I just wanted something that would protect the screen and protect the device as a whole from small bumps/drops.

I do however have one complaint about this. It has discolored the back of my book. If you have a black/dark colored nook it probably wouldn't be noticable. But if you have white nook and if you care what it looks like, stay away from this. I don't care too much about appearance, but this has really turned the back of my nook into something dirty and ugly.

You can see a picture of what the back of my nook looks like now at the above link. And you can tell this is from the case by looking at the top middle of the back of my nook. You'll see a discoloration that looks sort of like an X in a box. That matches up to a pattern on the inside of the pouch, which i have posted here:

So overall, it's not a pad carrying pouch for the price, as long as you don't mind the back of your white nook turning ugly. I'd have given it 4 stars if not for the discoloration.

I bought this cover for my Pandigital Ereader. I wasn't sure if it would fit. It fits perfectly. It's just what I needed. Protects ereader when carrying it around. Great value for the money. I am very pleased.

I was looking for a reasonably priced case for my new Nook when I found this case. I was unaware of all of the options that were out there, but I knew what I didn't want. I like holding the Nook in my hands so I can turn the pages easier from both sides, so I wasn't interested in a case that made it look like I was still holding a book.

This case is perfect for what I wanted it for -- to protect the Nook and store the cord together. I have a silicone skin over my Nook, so this case stretches easily, but snugly, over it and there is plenty of room for the cord.

It's not flashy, but it seems durable and well-made. Plus, the price was right in line with what I wanted to pay.

This item is made for a larger size reader, the Sony reader I purchased it for (PRS 300 or 350)is too small and the reader can slip out if you are not carefull so it is not secure. The case does not have a zipper or velcro to keep it shut but a larger size reader would probably not slip out. It is nice because it has a little pouch to carry the charger cord.

Its not padded at all, and offers minimal protection. It makes it easy to carry in a bag without worrying about scratches or dents, but as far as accidentally dropping it or crushing it, it wont help at all.

The material and fit of the sleeve is great for my Kindle 2. The accessory pocket however is actually much smaller than it looks in the photos provided on the product page. The power cord will not fit in this small pocket. The Kandle e-reader light just fits. I have resorted to sticking the power cord behind the Kindle on the inside of the sleeve. But I purchased this one specifically because it touted having a pocket for accessories such as your power cord. Because I found a way to make it work, I did not return it, but I was disappointed.

Does what was advertised, holds the nook and all the accessories, doesn't scratch the product or screen!
