This case did fit my new LG Glimmer just fine, and I do believe it would protect it from any scratches or damage if you drop it...but dont confuse it with a tight fitting silicone case, this case made my phone a little too bulky and it was not for me. If anyone is wondering, this case does slide with the phone, it is really two separate pieces that snap onto the top and bottom.
