5.0 out of 5 stars Francophones of the World Unite, May 11, 2004

This review is from: Protege-Moi (Audio CD)
This is the best French single of theirs to date. Unlike in "Burger Queen francaise", the translation is not literal (and thus not linguistically akward-- though don't get me wrong, I do love that one too), but rather sounds even more poetic than the English. The French words chosen definitely give the song extra dimension and depth, and make it sound more like a poem than a post-rave self-indulgent rant (my deepest apologies to Brian for that!).

5.0 out of 5 stars french release their best, April 22, 2005
This review is from: Protege-Moi (Audio CD)
Technically their 5th single released from Sleeping With Ghosts, despite the change in language of the lyrics. One of their best singles, which showcases their change in style from the last album and their first album. great artistic lyrics, it sounds like Brian is singing a poem, and a great choice to change into French. Backed by the second single from Sleeping With Ghosts, This Picture, it is a great single for French placebo fans, and a great collectible item for fans living elsewhere.
