Incorporates the experiences of the authors, which are used to perfect the assays and protocols and minimize insufficient results and data. Troubleshooting tips are useful and original. Truly a necessary benchtop reference for the serious researcher.

Practical book with very easy to follow and concise protocols about protein purification
If you have to purify and analyze proteins but you re not an expert this is the book for you.

Very useful reference for any biochemistry lab. Less bulkier than cold spring harbor manuals and certainly packed with a lot of useful information. This book would be useful for the professional as well as the novice. Detailed protocols included and updated from the previous edition. The section of post translational modifications was the most useful for my purposes. This book can take you from cells to purified protein under most circumstances with the minimum of repetition. I recommend this book particularly for graduate students in biochemistry who deal with protein purification as well as technicians.
