Good taste, very easy to mix in water or milk and of course, good price.

When I finally ran out of my original Top Care whey and soy protein, with a whopping 25 grams of protein per scoop, I decided to try this one, as it was the only one I could find with comparable ingredients. The other day, I sat down to compare the two, and, as far as I can tell, this is the original or very similar to the Top Care whey and soy protein I had liked so much. On difficult mornings (I have fibromyalgia, the most tedious, boring, annoying disease in the world), I make a mix of SlimFast (which has plenty of monounsaturated fat, in compliance with Rodale's Flat Belly Diet) and add a scoop of The Protein People's APC (Active Protein Complex) and blend them together with plenty of milk, and it usually takes care of hunger while keeping blood sugar stable for at least four hours.
In other words: highly recommended. Once the migraine/fibro flare season settles down, I can get back to weights and see how it does in terms of building more muscles. In the meantime, it's a great meal replacement drink. |
