4.0 out of 5 stars from a protein spectroscopist, April 13, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: NMR of Proteins and Nucleic Acids (Baker Lecture Series) (Hardcover)
This book is dated now in its techniques and doesn't contain the newer methods, but it still has very valuable basic information that makes it a good addition to anyone's library.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Technicals, be prepared to be bored, September 19, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: NMR of Proteins and Nucleic Acids (Baker Lecture Series) (Hardcover)
If I could I would give it 3.5 stars. First, it is an absolutely great book for technical aspects of proton NMR, the techniques described are still in full use to day, and has changed little if any from the date this book is written. Anyone who does NMR frequently is likely to own this book. As far as a reference book is a must for anyone serious about NMR. And just like a reference book it is an absolute snooze fest. Good bed time reading, if one wanted to dream about coupling.

This is not a book for beginners, it is highly technical, highly mathematically driven, and full of jargon.

4.0 out of 5 stars solid book on biomolecular NMR, June 14, 2009
This review is from: NMR of Proteins and Nucleic Acids (Baker Lecture Series) (Hardcover)
This book is old, but it still contains many usefull details in the NMR spectroscopy of macromolecules. This book is highly recommended for the beginners in this field.

I would like to see new and actual version of this book, which is really needed.
