BUY THIS CD!,

After buying another Runrig cd (30 year journey) and absolutely loving it, I decided to give this one a shot. After listening to it once, I was reminded why I love this band....modern instruments and older melodies and songs make an unlikely but winning combination in this cd. If you are a fan of celtic music with a contemporary twist, then stop reading and order this cd!

At first I thought this was over produced.,

But after a few listens, I realize this CD stands up with the great anthemic Runrig albums - has there been a better song in recent years than "There's a Need"? I don't think so.
This is as good as "In Search Of Angels" - and that is my favorite CD with Bruce Guthro helming. Buy this one.

Fantastic disc. From the North is simply incredible. The rest of the disc is quite good, especially Heading to Acadia, but doesn't IMHO compare to From the North. Minor audio edit issues, but on the whole a very enjoyable disc. Excellent vocal clarity, lyrics, and instrumental skills. Definitely recommended =)

I have been a Runrig fan for years and before Amazon it was near impossible to buy their music. On a trip to Australia my son brought me back my first Runrig cd and I have loved their music ever since. I recently purchased Proterra and can not get enough of it. I loaded to my iPod and on a trip to Southwest Florida I so enjoyed listening as I walked the Gulf beach. Wow! It has not left my car cd player and think this is, by far, one of their best. I have no Scottish blood (some English though) but for some reason this music speaks to my soul. A wonderful purchase for anyone who loves folk-rock, Celtic or world music.

I have been listening to and enjoying Stamping Ground for over a year. I liked it so much I bought this album without the expectation that it would be as good. But to my surprise - it is every bit as good. Both have a great mix of music styles.
But there is more than just good music on this CD. The lyrics are thought provoking and of a mystical nature. Very edifying!
