5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, sleek and innovative!
Strong body style, appealing, sleek and small. Holds 200 rounds and has a fast bps speed. It's light and easy to use.
Proto will not be making a "Clear" hopper because the material will break down over time (I was told from them) - I was sad about that till I finally got this and saw how big the lid is, it's very easy to see how many rounds you have left. I would...

1.0 out of 5 stars sucks
laaaaame. this thing jams up every 5 shots. takes the term shake and shoot to a whole new level. Would not buy again.

Suppose you get what you pay for though. What can you expect from a 15 buck item.

Proto will not be making a "Clear" hopper because the material will break down over time (I was told from them) - I was sad about that till I finally got this and saw how big the lid is, it's very easy to see how many rounds you have left. I would recommend this to anyone who doesnt hold the trigger down the whole time or wants a plus style of hopper. It seems like it would be perfect for woods ball over speed ball for its 8-10 bps feed. It is light and looks a lot like the Dye Roter. Great product for the price! 10/10

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome gravity feed, April 14, 2011

I play a lot of woodsball with my 98 Custom. With a standard hopper I'd have to shake and bake when the you know what hit the fan, and even then I'd get a dry fire about 10-20% throughout the fire fight. With this Proto Primo I ran through about 3500 paintballs and had 1 dry fire. Awsome loader, best you can get for a gravity feed and half the price of a cheap force loader. If you have a mechanical gun this is the best way to go. Construction seems real sturdy, took 2 direct hits to it. One on the side, and the other right on the lid hinge. Stop wasting your time buying the cheap $5 hoppers that crack when hit.

4.0 out of 5 stars Proto Primo Paintball Loader Hopper - Black Review, June 16, 2011

This hopper is a very good and light-weight hopper. It has a revolutionary gravity-fed hopper design that has a shelf that sits in the middle that takes pressure and weight off of the other paintballs that are in the breach so they can move faster so you dont have to shake your entire gun just to get some shots. Ive played many games with it and it hasn't jammed up or spaced out. Plus it has a very sleek and cool shape to it. Its a very good hopper for a very good price. I highly recommend this hopper to new paintballers or people who want a good hopper for a good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never Jams, April 13, 2011

Great hopper. Never jams on me so the paintballs flow with every trigger pull. Probably wouldn't use if you have an e-trigger but great for standard.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best mechanical hopper out there, April 5, 2011

This hopper has a shelf in it so it relives pressure on the bottom balls. Its fantastic for semi automatic markers. Can shoot up to 8 balls per second. This stoped about 90% of my ball breaks (the other 10% was the paintballs). Awesome hopper for great price!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great hopper., February 16, 2011

This hopper has been awesome on my A-5, no jams, no chops, no misfires in two cases of paint so far. Pulled the cyclone due to chopping and gas inefficiency and put a gravity feed adapter on there, ran with an extreme rage 100 round hopper for a while, had a few misfires with that one, but this hopper has yet to have that issue for me. Great hopper for woodsball.

And just FYI I don't shoot faster than at most 5bps, so if you are looking for something fast, take my review with a grain of salt.

I really like the Proto Primo, It is better than a standart gravity hopper, but don't expect to be better (don't even close) than ANY electrical hopper.
It is very light, and looks very good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best gravity fed hopper, October 7, 2010

I was astonished by how well this hopper feeds. I have tested it on my Tippy and on my recently bought WGP Trilogy. I can say, hands down, the best gravity-fed hopper out there. Very sleek, people will probably think it is electronic, but you don't need batteries for a better-than-average bps rate--7-10 bps and going. I usually use a three round burst with it and it almost never fails. I tried shooting 12 bps--it won't go that fast, but who wants to waste expensive paint??? If you're a minimal maintenance type of person, this is for you.
Update: After extensive testing on the WGP Autococker (which shoots about 7bps), the hopper doesn't shoot more than 5 balls at a time. The hopper is good if you need a cool-looking hopper that is cheap and gravity-fed. If you have a fully-automatic or a paintball gun that shoots more the 5bps get an electronic hopper. Otherwise, this is a bargain. I am downgrading to four stars, because I have experienced the dye rotor--the best hopper on the market currently.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good paintball loader, January 21, 2012

This loader is solid built. Its light (without the balls ofcourse) Rarely the balls gets stuck on it, if it does just shake the paintball gun a little and its just fine again.
