it looked easier to do than it was. it really wasn't easy for me to sit still for the 75 minutes it took my husband to get the cast on me and the time for it to dry. it also wasn't easy to relinquish control of the project to him! HOWEVER, despite me, hubby was able to make a nice cast of my shape. this was a very messy process and removing the lubricant/skin protection was probably more difficult that removing the plaster.

after the initial cast dries, there is a lot more work to be done - applying the plaster that provides the smooth look and reinforces the cast and preparing this surface for decoration. again, a slow and messy process if you don't have experience working with plaster.

we are happy with the final results of our efforts, but it was much more effort than i had expected and the final results weren't nearly as impressive as the color photos shown. we do recommend this kit, though - it's a great memento of your pregnancy! just plan for more time and work than you think it will take.

The package came in quick, it had everything I needed.The lube was great,more than enough gauze and the other items were helpful with smoothing my bellycast.I would reccommend this purchase to anyone

this kit came with more than enough to capture this very special time in my life. Its very simple and the directions are easy to understand. i would recomend this product to every woman who is expecting.

My husband and I had a little trouble with the kit the first time we used it because we thought I needed to be standing to cast the tops of my thighs, as well. The top part separated from the bottom part. I contacted the company for help and a replacement, and they responded immediately with helpful hints (they suggested we sit next time, overlap layers more, use less casting material since I'm small) and refunded our money immediately. She even went so far as to locate a store nearby that sells them, since my due date is too close for her to send me a replacement. I was so pleased with this customer service - you just don't get such great help and attention these days. I would recommend this company to anyone. We look forward to trying again! We've had friends who made casts with great success.

This product is a wonderful way to capture the beauty of pregnancy. and is very east to use as long as you work fast!!! The cast smoother is kind of hard to make look good but if you buy and use enough sand paper you can make it look wonderful.

A fun weekend project! Everything you need to make a belly cast is in this box, just add water! It does get messy, so make sure you cover your work areas. I did my belly cast at 7 months pregnant, and had to sit through most of it. The plaster traps in heat, so I got really hot shortly after starting and almost passed out. We had to bring in a stand up fan and cool washcloth for my forehead and neck. But the end result was great. The cast came out perfect!

The shipping was really fast ordered last week got here today (thursday) .. its easy to put on and you have enough plaster strips to cover up your belly & boobies.. but its a huge pain to take it off.. i dont know but shave that part where u plan to put it on i almost cried it hurted so much ..

The kit came with everything we needed except paint, which we wanted to purchase separately so we only got colors we want. It's super easy to use, and the instructions are simple. We almost had enough to do two casts, so we bought some extra rolls from a craft store and did a second one.

i was really looking forward to doing this project but when i received it, the box was slightly damaged and things were missing from the box. needless to say i sent it back and spent a little more to buy it from the actual website and received everything in perfect condition. it was fun and also you have to pay attention to the directions to get it right, i would just order it from the site [...] and save yourself the trouble.

I purchased this kit to make a belly cast during my first pregnancy. I am a bigger girl, so I actually bought 2 to make sure I had enough strips. I'm going to now return one full kit because there was PLENTY of strips in just one of the kits.

It was very easy to do. My husband wet the strips as I stood there. They recommend sitting, but I thought it would look funny, so I stood. The strips dry fairly quickly, so it wasn't that bad.

I wanted to make sure I was almost as big as I was going to get, so I waited until 38 weeks to do mine. It turned out beautifully! This is such an easy kit! I also suggest looking to see if warehousedeals.com has it. This is Amazon.com's warehouse discount site. I bought both of mine on there. The only thing was the box was a bit damaged, but who cares!

It would be difficult to do this one by yourself though. You need a partner/helper to apply the strips. Partners/spouses like it because they get to see you with your top off (if you include the breast portion of your body), and it's a great keepsake. Fun for all involved!

I'll recommend this to anyone and I'm sure with my next bundle of joy, I'll use this brand also. Great kit & great fun.
