Unbelievable!!!!,

Greg Miller hits the nail on the head! I have read both of his books, and they are well worth it. Being from Wisconsin, I felt that Greg's material pertained to me more than the others. However, on a recent trip to Kansas, I bagged a nice 12 point that dressed out at 215 lbs. using Greg's tactics! Thanks Greg!!

Greg Miller Knows Whitetail Hunting,
By Bruce L. Nelson "'Alone Across Alaska' and '7... (Fairbanks, Alaska USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Proven Whitetail Tactics (Paperback)
I've read plenty of deer hunting books, I've even written one. Like many serious hunters, I've found that most of these books contain a lot of "filler" or the same old ideas I've read dozens of times before."Proven Whitetail Tactics" is a cut above most other deer hunting books. Mr. Miller understands deer and knows how to apply that knowledge to his hunting. He has a real knack for getting to the meat of what techniques work, and why. His book is illustrated with pictures of big bucks he's bagged, most in areas where consistent success takes more than luck or a good guide. To clarify his written ideas, he's got simple drawings of funnel points, stand locations, deer movement patterns, etc. One or two illustrated great new ideas for me. Also very useful are "Greg's Proven Pointers," found at the end of most chapters, where he distills his key points down to a short, bulleted list. These few sentences alone contain a gold mine of whitetail savvy. This book rings true. The more you love hunting whitetails the more you'll appreciate this book. Bruce Nelson, author of "Hunting Big Whitetails."

proven whitetail tactics,
This review is from: Proven Whitetail Tactics (Paperback)
I found Greg Millers proven whitetail tactics very enlightening. I found myself falling into a rut, no pun intended. I started hunting with a friend and now I know why I don't see as many deer as I used to. I will be hunting on my own from now on. I forgot many of the things that Greg points out, like scent control and others, and I have a new outlook and renewed interest. It will be interesting to see what I can accomplish now. I have already ordered rub line secrets, in the hope that it will increase my odds even more. Good luck, with the Whitetail deer you will need it!

One of the best do it yourself deer hunting books ever! So much info and pointers you never thought of! This guy is good at what he does and TEACHES you how to understand what you see. No more running around in the dark. Its the bible of of northern hunting. This is the only dude other than the benoits that will teach you how to conquer deer that make a living from outsmarting us.

Greg Miller has a proven track record. I've met him at shows a few times he's a good whitetail hunter. This book has alot of good info in it. I see it mostly targeting bowhunting but alot crosses over to gun. Lately he's more into the Outfitted , high dollar lease hunts associated with TV shows. He's paid his due's and can hold his own with any of the whitetail guru's. It comes through in his writing. He hasn't sold out like alot of the whitetail heavy weights.

Good tactics disappointing writing,

The mark of a good book, be it a work of fiction or a manual on deer hunting, lies in the ability of the author to write well. Greg Miller may be a good hunter but his writing style has much to be desired. My love of hunting was the only thing that kept me reading this book.

MR.MILLER I HOPE YOU GET TO READ THIS.I HAVE BOTH OF YOUR BOOKS.I JUST FINISHED YOUR BOOK "PROVEN WHITETAIL TACTICS" I FOUND IT TO BE VERY WELL WRITTEN AND FULL OF GREAT COMMON SENCE TACTICS. I HAVE ALSO READ "AGGRESSIVE WHITETAIL HUNTING" SEVERAL TIMES AND FEEL THAT EVEN THOUGH I AM A SEASONED VETREN ARCHERY HUNTER WITH MANY BUCKS TO MY CREDIT,READING "AGGRESSIVE WHITETAIL HUNTING" WAS THE KEY REASON WHY I HAD SOO MANY CLOSE ENCOUNTERS WITH LARGER THAN AVERAGE BUCKS IN THE 98 SEASON.AND AFTER READING "PROVEN WHITETAIL TACTICS" FOR THE FIRST TIME IT HAD ME OUT IN THE WOODS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE RUB LINES OF THE BUCKS THAT GAVE ME THE SLIP DURING THE PAST SEASON.I ALLWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO READING YOUR ARTICELS IN DEER&DEER HUNTING MAGAZINE AND I THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME TAKE THE NEXT STEP UP TO TROPHY WHITETAIL HUNTING.IT IS NOT FOR EVERYONE AND YOU ARE RIGHT BY STATING IN YOUR BOOKS THAT THEIR ARE NO SHORT CUTS OR GIMMICKS THAT WILL GIVE YOU SUCCESS ONLY HARD WORK WILL CONSISTANTLY PUT BIG BUCKS IN FRONT OF YOU.I WOULD RECCOMEND YOUR BOOKS AND ARTICELS AS MUST READ MATERIAL FOR ANYONE WHO LOVES OUR GREAT SPORT OF ARCHERY HUNTING.THANK YOU MIKE PERRY mppnp@velocity.net p.s. my brother took his first trophy buck with his bow this year.like you and your brothers we have grown very close over the years because of hunting if i dont kill another big buck as long as i live, it will be fine by me as long as my brother and close hunting parteners can continue to hunt together and help each-other towards that goal of taking that buck of a life- time. your friends and family are what the hunting experience is all about to me.
