In the 19th Century, l'Epicurien was a delicatessen in Paris, specialized in fine jams and preserves. From this start, emerged in 1982, the current company specializing in jams of course, but also in confits, chutneys and fine preservesThis extraordinary jam is sweetened with Cane sugar, as was done in the old days.Fruit contents are between 55% and 70%. My husband and I are lovers of figs living in exile, in the fig-challenged midwest. This jam tastes like delicious sweet fresh figs, is available year round. The only crappy thing is the really very high shipping cost from this seller. Their own website is just as bad. We ordered one, and then ordered a case the next time. Will probably include in our Christmas gift baskets this year!
