Although it takes only two to tango, it takes at least four people to play Proverbial Wisdom (of course, the more the merrier). Teams try to make heads or tails of sketches drawn by the presiding Wisdom Master (every picture tells a story!). They must also identify common sayings drawn on game cards, and choose the meaning of proverbs from three given options. The first team to get all the way around the board and solve the final sketch clue wins. After a few rounds, you and your friends and family will be spouting bits of conventional wisdom and age-old sayings everywhere you go. This great game isn't easy, but as they say... practice makes perfect! --Rachel Radway

I played Proverbial Wisdom on Thanksgiving Day with my entire family and we all thought it was a great game. The "sketch cards" require you to draw a proverb, similar to Pictionary. My nieces and nephews loved this part of the game; kids always seem to get a kick out of drawing. The "picture cards" already have the proverb drawn on them and you must guess the proverb. I liked this part the best since I cannot draw. (No one ever wanted me on their team when we played Pictionary!) The "definition cards" give you three choices to choose from and some are quite funny. Not only did the children, parents, and grandparents enjoy this game, it started some great conversations. This is a wonderful party game for the entire family.

Excellent game. There hasn't been a board game this great since the days of Trivial Pursuit. In fact, this game is better than Trival Pursuit because you don't have to be Einstein to play, and everyone gets their fair turn. It's very interesting to learn the origin of familiar sayings that people have been using in conversation all their lives. You can play over and over again for the fun and learning elements of it. Who knew there were so many proverbs in our everyday language? This shoe fits anybody who wants to have a good time.

From the first time we played the game, we found the instructions very easy to follow (user friendly) and from there it has been nothing but fun. I have learned many new things playing this game and feel that it has benefitted my family also. It is really allot of fun and I would suggest this game for the family, for your friends, to pull out whenever you have a family gathering. A good time is always guaranteed. We Love This Game..Bravo
