4.0 out of 5 stars Proverbs, September 13, 2007
This review is from: Proverbs: A Mentor Commentary (Hardcover)
The Mentor Commentary by John A. Kitchen strikes a good balance between solid exegesis of the text and practical application. Kitchen utilizes the best in recent and older scholarship while maintaining a warm devotional spirit. If you are seeking a commentary which is clear and easy to understand while resting on the Bible this one is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Summer Devotinal Reading, July 31, 2009
This review is from: Proverbs: A Mentor Commentary (Hardcover)
I selected this book for my Summer devotional. I found it very insightful as I seek to gain in the fear and wisdom of the Lord. I find that it takes time to absorb all that the author has given but well worth the effort.
