Kevin Swanson's Proverbs study guide is an excellent resource for parents to use in the discipling of their children. The wisdom of the Proverbs is of inestimable use in training up children (Deut. 6:5-9) in the fear and admonition of the LORD. By using this resource, one can easily help children to see the pitfalls of the world and sin, and can make quick application of the Proverbs to their own life.
The study guide is separated into short lessons, each with a passage from Proverbs, along with some discussion/explanation, and then family discussion questions. These lessons are short and easy to read through with your family in perhaps 5 to 10 minutes. The discussion questions are probing, and are great for discussion. Personally, our family has had many discussions lasting an hour or more on several of the lessons!
This guide could also easily be used to supplement family devotions, worship, or even what is learned (or not learned) in school. A must-have resource for any serious Christian's library.
This is a nicely formatted and written study of Proverbs, but I was looking for something with a little more in-depth look at what the Proverbs mean, not just the principles for good living type of study.
