History of INEL (INL),

This review is from: Proving the Principle: A History of the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory, 1949-1999 (Paperback)
I worked at the INL for 3 years in the early 90's and found it very interesting. This book covers stories I heard and fleshes them out, including pictures. Those were heady days during the 50's, 60's and into the 70's when a lot of important projects were undertaken. There is less going on the last 20-30 years due to "search for a mission" and a risk-averse attitude in the country. Hopefully one day our country will assume a leadership role again in nuclear power as well as other areas.
