A perfect compact little size; light weight; hand held and it securely suctions to the work surface for easier use! Sharp edges on dies are protected by a foam pad so little fingers do not get hurt. This is a great little die cutter. I bought mine at Wal-mart for 19.95 for myself. I am new to scrapbooking, and did not want to spend a whole lot so this was perfect. I also did a lot of searching on the web, and found someone who used the other dies from the regular Cuttlebug and Sidekick cutter on the Cuttlekids. You can use them on here with the Sidekick cutting mattes. I also assume you can use the 2x6 dies with the mattes made for them. I have tried this and it does work. Also another trick to getting a good cut with these machines is to turn your dies cutting side face up. This makes for a great, inexpensive die cutter for those you won't need to do big die cuts

I bought this for my 6 yr old granddaughter. It's ok but didn't come with much information. Had only 2 very simple dies. The dies for it could become very expensive if you wanted very many. It's ok for her now but sure she will outgrow it too soon.

I bought this today at Michaels for $14. on clearence...seems to be sturdy and since I have a 7 year old that wants to start scrapping it is a good starter for her. I have tried it out and she will have lots of fun with it...
