This is a phenomenal set for anyone who loves to crochet. Set contains: two ergonomic handles: one soft touch straight handle and one trigger handle with four possible holding positions (designed by Peggy Mineau, a needle crafter with Multiple Sclerosis), both handles hold each of the seven hooks: F(3-3/4mm), G(4mm), H(5mm), I(5-1/2mm), J(6mm), K(6-1/2mm), and a bonus Knifty Knitter hook. Handles are 4-1/2-inch long without hooks. All comes in a handy canvas case with a zippered closure for safe and easy transport and storage. Colors: case: black and purple, handles: putty and purple, needles: chrome. Imported.

I had to stop crocheting three years ago because of pain in my right wrist. I felt as if I had lost my best friend. Crocheting was a big part of my life. I was always working on an afghan for someone. When the pain was too much, I gave away my needles and lots of thread, and sadly sat with my hands idle. Then, one day when I was shopping with a friend, I noticed this needle. My friend said I should try it. I bought one knowing that I would return it in a few days. What happened when I tried to crochet again was nothing short of a miracle for me! I kept waiting for the pain to hit my wrist, and it never came!! I couldn't believe it. I have no idea why it works, but it does. I have tried using a regular needle again, no luck, same pain! I heard this was designed by someone who had MS. I would love to know who she is to thank her. I bought these two sets to pass on to friends who have trouble with their hands.

the only problem is that the crotchet hook handle is too big for my hand and actually causes me more pain in my hand and arm that a regular hook. The "bonus" Knitting hook and handle are great...but not the real reason I bought it. I'm kind of bummed out because I can't crochet for long with regular hooks and was looking forward to doing it more...but alas I have small hands. I think a person with normal (not kid sized) hands would find it to be a great buy.

I just wanted to update this review to state that I still love these hooks and use them regularly. I have not had any problems with them as of yet and they still screw in very well to the handle. I do no use the smaller handle as the large purple one is my favorite. I still recommend these on a regular basis.

I work in a factory full time but also love to craft. This set has greatly reduced the amount of hand strain I get while crocheting. I use the larger of the grips due to the way I hold my hook but the 2 handles mean this set can accommodate either grasp (writing or knife).

Hooks don't fit into handle.
