5.0 out of 5 stars Provo Craft Silent Setter Eyelet Tool Set
I started scrap booking almost a year ago, and this product has been one of my favorites to work with. It give my pages a touch of beauty and it is very versatile! And the best part is the silent setter... my family sure appreciates a silent night @ 2AM when I am scrapbooking. Very nice portable little purse to save everything.

1.0 out of 5 stars Setting eyelets is hard work with this tool
I tried this at my local scrapboking store since I thought it would be nice to have a setter I could use when my two and four year olds are sleeping. I used it several times over a series of visits, and found that I really had to push down hard, which is pretty hard to do with a twisting motion at the same time. It also doesn't set the eyelets completely leaving rough...

I tried this at my local scrapboking store since I thought it would be nice to have a setter I could use when my two and four year olds are sleeping. I used it several times over a series of visits, and found that I really had to push down hard, which is pretty hard to do with a twisting motion at the same time. It also doesn't set the eyelets completely leaving rough edges on the back. This is especially bad with the harder Making Memories eyelets.

I would definately recommend the Clickit, over this product if you want a silent setter, without all the effort.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your time or money!, January 8, 2007
A friend gave me this one and it doesn't work at all. You can't make holes thru more than 1 piece of paper at a time, which never is what I need in my scrapbooking. It is very hard on your wrists and requires quite a lot of pressure, not to mention the eyelets look really bad from the backside once its finally set. I actually warped a few eyelets trying to fasten it on the paper. And since I always use eyelets to attatch tags or something to a scrapbooking page, it didn't work since it wouldn't make a hole thru more than 1 thin piece of paper at a time.

I really like this product. It is easy to use and I love that it came with its own case. I was excited to use it. I noticed the eyelets that came with it are easier to use then the eyelets I bought from Michaels, it seems like a thinner metal. Overall great buy. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Works fine, June 21, 2011
This review is from: Provo Craft Silent Setter Hammerless Eyelet Tool Set (Kitchen)
This works great. I make origami earrings with 4+ layers of paper to push through at once, and it works fine. You DO need to use aluminum, not brass, eyelets.

I've had no paper tearing or moving, and I don't even need to use the setting mat that comes with it. i just push against a piece of cardboard and it works fine too.

I've had this product for years, and love it. My mother-in-law borrowed mine so much that I finally bought her one too!
