Probably the best PCMICA NIC I have used. Works well in Linux with madwifi drivers. There is a section on madwifi.org wiki to help you. Most distributions have drivers built in by now.

This card is touted the premier PC card in wireless auditing circles due to its receiver sensitivity. I can say that company that I ordered this card from through amazon (Technology Galaxy) responded quickly and I had my Orinoco card in minimum time. It arrived in good condition. I recommend Technology Galaxy.

Because I am not using Windows the driver CD with this card has no application for me (write useless here). I looked on the Proxim website and it appears that the company does not support any other OS except Microsoft. I tried to request more technical information but never received any response to it. So far I'm not too impressed with the Proxim technical support.

This card uses an Atheros chipset. The good news is the Atheros folks finally opened their API so it plays well these days with Linux. The distribution of Linux I use is Ubuntu Use of this card was just a matter of starting up the computer and using it. It "just works". The application I use for my wireless audits is KISMET. So far no problems.

There are a lot of sites available ([...] and others) where you can get help. So far I haven't needed to use it. two thumbs up for this card.

My laptop's inbuilt network card stopped working for some reason. So i got one of this. For me, it works perfect with XP and VISTA. I will recommend this.

I like to card has good seed and is versa with a/b/g Had a orinoco gold that I love card is still going strong just wish the cards were flush insted on sticking out
